TELEVISION (TASK 4)

TELEVISION MAKES US INDIVIDUALIST??????? (Task 4)

Television is the most widespread form of communication in the world. The most common use of television is as a source of information and entertainment for viewers in their homes. Television gives us information about the world, such as crime, war etc. It also gives us entertainments like movie, quizzes, cartoons etc. Though most people will never meet the leader of a country, travel to the moon, or participate in a war, they can observe these experiences through the images on their television.

We all know television has become very common household appliances in our life now. Almost every people have television in their home because it seems like primary needs. Many families have one television each in their own room. This case usually happened because every person has favorite movies and maybe it is different with others. Because we always watch television alone, some people think that television makes people become individualists. But, I personally disagree if television could make people become individualist. I have some reasons for this pronouncement.

The first one, it is impossible for people to watch television alone for a long time in their room. They will be tired and get bored as the time goes by because they don’t have friends to share about the movie they watch. At least if we watch with some friends, we have somebody to discuss with and we will not get bored too fast.

The second one, every family has one television which put in the living room. The family’s members can watch it together and share about the day they have done. In this situation the use of television is making the bond between family’s members become tight. Maybe one of the members has problem with others and in this room we can talk with him. Another example is in the dormitory, the television is placed in the living room too. In dormitory, we need to make a good relationship with others. Here, everybody has different favorite movies so we have to talk with others which channel that we will watch.

In conclusion, television doesn’t make people become individualists. Although every room in the house has one television we will get bored as time goes by if we watch it alone. I think there will be not fun at all watching television alone. It would be better if we watch it together.
