How to Make Glassware

Glassware is useful for us to put food and beverages. Glassware used for putting food is called plate glass, while glassware used for putting beverages is called bottle glass or glass. Glassware is made up of three main ingredients; sand, soda, and limestone.

In the glassware manufacturing process, glassware is made by these following steps. Firstly, they are blended into a mixture, and the mixture is heated in the furnace. After that, the mixture is divided into two ways; one way is to form it into plate glass and another way is to form it into bottle glass.

The mixture is formed into plate glass by placing it in into the roller. The roller will flatten the mixture, and form the shape of the mixture into a flat plate glass. At last, the plate glass is ready to be used.

However, the steps will be different if the mixture is formed into bottle glass. The mixture is formed into bottle glass by putting it into a removable mould of bottle. After that, air is pumped into the mould to form the shape of the bottle. After the mixture cools and hardens, the mould is removed. Finally, there will be a bottle glass ready to be used.
